Petinova's commitment

At Petinova, protecting your privacy is an absolute priority. We build our products on a "privacy by design" principle: your personal data is collected to the strict minimum and processed with the highest level of security. This policy transparently explains how we handle your information when you use Petinova.

What data do we collect?

We only collect data necessary for the service to function properly:

• Account information: email address and display name when you create your Petinova app account
• Usage data: collar preferences, activity log and bark statistics to help you track your dog's progress
• Technical data: app version, device model and firmware version to ensure compatibility and deliver updates

Audio & privacy: our strongest commitment

This is the most important point: the Petinova collar never transmits audio. Our AI engine runs entirely on the collar's embedded microcontroller. Sound is analyzed in real-time then immediately discarded. Only the binary result (bark detected / not detected) is kept. No voice recording is ever stored, transmitted or accessible — not by us, not by anyone.

How do we use your data?

Your data is used exclusively to: operate the Petinova service (syncing settings across your devices via your account), improve product reliability through anonymized statistics, and inform you of important updates. We never do advertising profiling.

Third-party sharing

We never sell, rent, or share your personal data for commercial purposes. We use Firebase (Google Cloud) for secure authentication and encrypted storage, in compliance with the strictest industry security standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001).

Security measures

All communications between the collar and the app are encrypted via Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0. Cloud-stored data is protected by AES-256 encryption. We apply the principle of least privilege for data access and conduct regular security audits.

Your rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data. You may also object to any processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@petinova.com — we respond within 30 days.
